Who we are

We are a team of passionate developers with extensive backgrounds in varying industries. We are not a team of experts in the industry. Our goal is to set ourselves apart by showing that having the passion and drive to do something you love can make great things happen.

Matthew Short

Lead Developer/Programmer

“I've dreamed of starting a game studio since I was a kid. I began creating games with the original Starcraft level editor, amazed that I could make my own interactive experiences. I also used tools like RPG Maker and Game Maker. Now, I work with Unreal Engine, which powers CES. Though I lack professional game industry experience, I've spent years as a passionate hobbyist. I do have professional skills in graphic design, motion design, videography, and years of management experience in commercial trade. These skills have helped me follow my dream of launching an indie game studio.”

Miguel Hidalgo

Level Designer/3D Artist

“I’ve been a hobbyist game developer since the early 2000s, working primarily in Unreal Engine. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a deep passion for game design and development. Over the years, I’ve published multiple titles on the Steam Marketplace, the Android Play Store, and various indie publishing platforms. While I don’t work in the industry professionally, I’ve spent decades honing my skills and building immersive experiences. I'm excited to channel that experience into our indie studio and share what we’ve been working on.”

Kevin lopez

Lore Writer/Storyboarding

“I’m an aspiring game writer who loves storytelling. I’ve taken some writing classes and used to write short horror stories and scripts for fun. Watching ’80s and ’90s films inspired me, and now I want to use my skills to write stories for games.”

Vik Rodrigues

Art Director

“I'm an artist specialized in oil painting, with a focus on illustrations and concept art for fantasy and horror. Over the years, I’ve also developed skills in 3D modeling and digital painting for interactive environments. I’m passionate about visual storytelling and bringing ideas to life through striking imagery, whether on canvas, screen, or virtual spaces. As part of the team, I contribute my creative experience to help build deep and unique worlds.”

Azat Shamsutdinov

Lead Composer

“I began composing music at the age of 15, inspired by the emotional depth of soundtracks from games like Dark Souls, Skyrim, and The Witcher, as well as the powerful expressiveness of Romantic-era classical music. I specialize in orchestral composition, working primarily in FL Studio with Kontakt libraries such as Cinematic Studio Series. My experience includes writing soundtracks for mobile games and visual novels. When creating music for a project, I strive to fully immerse myself in the game’s atmosphere to express the emotions required by each moment. My dream is simple: to give my music to games — to help tell their stories through sound.”

Our Tools

External tools are a major part of what allows indie developers to be successful. We want to be open about our development process’ for our community or other upcoming developers so they can achieve the same levels of fidelity that we’re aiming for. We are not using any AI tools to create or generate assets, these are all being created by hand using the tools shown below. However we also understand that AI is a booming industry, and completely ignoring the things it does well could possibly hurt our development process. For this reason anything we use AI for will be clearly labelled (in the credits) if it is a part of our final product/s.

Unreal engine 5

Unreal Engine 5 and Epic Games are taking game development to the next level, allowing us put our assets and characters into highly detailed and realistic 3D environments.

Blender

Blender is a free 3D modeling software utilized by various industries. This allows us to create and customize our existing assets.

Character creator 4 (and 5)

CC4 (and soon releasing CC5) is a premium character creation software developed by Reallusion. It allows us to create and animate fully rigged characters with high fidelity similar to Metahumans.

Animation Software(s)

I’m lumping these into a single block. We use both Iclone 8 (part of the Reallusion pipeline) and Cascadeur to create custom hand keyed animations.

Accuface (Facial mocap)

AccuFace is another Reallusion program that allows the capture of high quality facial mocap which can be included and edited inside of Iclone 8. This gives us the ability to tell cinematic stories with full facial performances.

FL Studio

Our music composer Azat is working on an entirely original soundtrack for our current project “From Delirium” using the very popular (as well as industry standard) DAW known as FL Studio.
