Hello

There’s probably a lot to say with our first dev blog, but I want to start with “Hello”. We are a newly formed indie game development group that started off as a Reddit post believe it or not. None of us are professionals in the industry, we all come from various locations and backgrounds. However, what we are is passionate gamers and storytellers with the means to achieve a goal. We all wanted to create this studio, and we all want to create interesting experiences for players all over. Our first project, Project Dreamcatcher, is not aiming for the starts but rather aiming to be a project small enough in scope that it can be completed by a bunch of industry newbies. I personally have a passion for cinematic storytelling, so I’m adding that into the mix for this project. Some of us are learning a lot of new skills or re-learning old ones, but no matter what we have one goal: Finish the project and release it to the world.

What does simply completing a project do for our group? Well for one it lands us smack dab in the “professionals” category. I like to think I have an eye for quality, so I’m going to try my damnedest to make sure that our inexperience does not shine through when you play our first product. I am not expecting a massive success by any means, but it gives us something to show. Not only for ourselves, but to show others that we can be proud of what we’ve created. It’s not the next big thing, probably. But we want it to be a fun and impactful experience. We hope you follow our story and projects as we progress. Our next dev blog will be more about the development process. Thank you for reading!
